Erasmo Castelli

Maria Pia Castelli

“Erasmo Castelli” is the Winery’s leading wine, made only from red berried grapes, harvested in crates, with each hectare on the estate yielding 3,500kg. The grapes ferment slowly on skins in oak casks and are moved to new oak barriques for malolactic fermentation and about 24 months ageing.

Forest berries, spice and distinctive balsamic notes on the nose merge to form a bouquet with a huge personality.
The well-balanced palate is fresh, with the right amount of acidity and close-knit tannins, conceding a lingering finish. Excellent with braised or stewed meats, as well as roast kid or lamb.
